ABOUT
Anna Joy Gordon is a Melbourne based saxophonist, who is well known for her high energy performances, and her delightful and compelling stage presence. To date, she has lent her considerable skills as both a composer and performer to a range of projects including award winning indie genre hoppers Mangelwurzel and Aria nominated globe-trotting world music outfit The Barons of Tang.
Anna now performs with a number of Melbourne acts including The Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Sludge Party, and Firetail. She regularly guests with Melbourne’s afrobeat champions The Seven Ups and Sydney’s Hot Potato Band, and she performed in the Melbourne Festival season of Taylor Mac’s cabaret extravaganza “A 24 Decade History of Popular Music.” |
